This page contains images of mostly common birds that are found throughout North America, including in urban parks, such as Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.
Many of these small forest and field birds, like swallows and hummingbirds, are hunted by even slightly bigger avions. Their survival depends on constant movement. Given the chance, even blackbirds will feast on smaller hummingbirds. It's a tough life for little birds.
Since i am new to birding, please forgive any mis-identifications on these pages. I am working hard to improve my identification skills through the use of the Audobon bird ap and the Sibley Guide To Birds.
